Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Father Figure Patrick

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! It’s funny how time flies, and how time can change how one is perceived, which is the case for #88. 

It’s really not a shock that Patrick Kane has never worn an A or C on his sweater, even though he’s been on the roster for a decade now.

No one would have ever considered Kane a leader throughout his career, that isn’t a title he has ever been comfortable with or being associated with.

Kane has been a play-maker, goal scorer, and well party guy for most of adult life while playing for the Chicago Blackhawks.  Kane always looks like he’s having a fun time on the ice, and being a leader just wasn’t on the resume.

Now comes word that this summer he’s being Vinnie Hinostroza‘s mentor which is good on so many levels.

First off, Kane has been working on his game all summer long which is something that has to excited Blackhawks fans that he’s not satisfied with his last two years which were only 106 and 89 points respectively.

Secondly, Hinostroza has shown flashes but never has really put a whole season together just yet. It would be a win win for him if he can learn from Patrick Kane while getting a little boost in his game to be able to stick for an entire season and contribute.

It’s nice to see Kane’s story finally turn the chapter, and with that we will turn the chapter here to the morning links to start your Thursday morning.
