Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! I saw a meme that perfectly described my feelings yesterday.

I’m pretty sure this summer is feeling even longer than ever after the 2nd straight early playoff exit by the Chicago Blackhawks.  It’s already been 4 months since the Chicago Blackhawks were eliminated by the Nashville Predators in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

So I saw this meme yesterday and it fit my thoughts perfectly.

The other thing that is forcing this offseason to drag is that the Chicago Cubs aren’t just rolling people every game like they did last summer. There was quite a sense of anxiety for the MLB season to end so we could see if the Cubs could win the World Series.  This year they are quite frustrating to watch even though if the playoffs started today they would be in the playoffs.

Anyways, back to the Chicago Blackhawks and now I think all fans have a lot of anxiety for the upcoming season.

More from Blackhawks News

One reason is how last season ended getting swept and only scoring very few goals. Talk about a frustrating season, and the worst part was being in Bridgestone for Game #4.

The other reason is the changes Stan Bowman made to the roster, and will having Brandon Saad and Patrick Sharp back be enough to get back to deep runs in the playoffs.

I miss hockey that is for sure, and here are some morning links to kick off your weekend.
