Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! If you are like me, and have been missing Chicago Blackhawks hockey, we are only 13 days away from a small tease!
The Chicago Blackhawks will be playing their rookie/prospect tournament once again in Traverse City this year, and we are only 13 days away from seeing some exciting hockey!
Yes, like a lot of fans prospects and the future is very exciting, which is why our expectations of players like Teuvo Teravainen get so high the player can never live up them.
The thing is unlike the past few years where no one including myself cared about rookie camp and the prospect/rookie tournament, the Blackhawks have some real talent coming up the pipeline to be excited about.
The one player that would get a lion’s share of the publicity is Alexandre Fortin, but it doesn’t look like he will be healthy enough to play until training camp. It’s interesting that there is a great divide about Fortin who was the breakout star of last years camp and tourney.

Some feel like Fortin is the Chicago Blackhawks top prospect, and that he really has a shot at making the team this year, while others think he didn’t dominate juniors last year so don’t expect much from him at training camp and in Rockford this coming season.
The Chicago Blackhawks of course will be playing Alex DeBrincat who also has is far share of critics, and he’s another player that I hope shows up and plays great at the tournament.
The biggest thing is there are only a handful of days until we see hockey, and here are some morning links to kick off your weekend.
