We’re getting pretty close to another NHL regular season, so it’s time for Chicago Blackhawks fans to give Blackhawk Up some input

Being involved with a blog like Blackhawk Up, you quickly realize the balance you need to strike in your writing. You want to talk about Chicago Blackhawks topics that interest you, but you also need to keep other Blackhawks fans — the readers — engaged as well.

This is true in any form of media, of course. But it becomes especially interesting when it involves a team you actively root for. It makes you extra interested to hear what your fellow fans would be most interested in reading about.

And so, I’m using this version of Blackhawks morning links to reach out to fellow Blackhawks fans. We’re inching toward the 2017-18 NHL regular season, with the Blackhawks kicking off against the defending Stanley Cup-champion Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 5. So that means there’s going to be a lot more for us to write about very soon.

What do you, Blackhawks fans, most want to see the Blackhawk Up crew talk about heading into the 2017-18 season and beyond? We tried to run some weekly features last season — a roundtable, NHL power rankings, eye on the enemy and the like —with varying interest.

More from NHL News

There’s a limited amount we can write about during the preseason — at least before training camp — before we start rehashing the same material. But once the regular season rolls around, then we can have some fun. And we’d like our fellow Blackhawks fans to help with that in 2017-18.

So, feel free to either comment on this post or reach out to us on Twitter/Facebook to give us some ideas for content you’d like to see next season. We’re obviously going to cover news as it happens as well as game previews and results, but we’ve always been about more than that as well. Let’s see what you guys can come up with!
