Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks host their first preseason game of the year tonight when the Detroit Red Wings visit the United Center.

So with the B Team traveling to Columbus on Tuesday night and looking really good, hopefully tonight we will get to see the A team in front of the home crowd.

Here is what the morning lines looked like at practice on Wednesday morning.

So as you can see DeBrincat was in the lottery spot on the Nick Schmaltz and Patrick Kane line which is pretty exciting.  That being said you never know what Joel Quenneville is going to do with his lines once the puck is dropped.  It would be nice to see what DeBrincat can do against NHL competition since he’s already passed his rookie tournament test.

I’m also looking forward to see what Schmaltz will do with Kane on his wing all the time.  Schmaltz really looked good in Columbus.

That being said it seems more and more unlikely that there is a spot for Vinnie Hinostroza which is unfortunate for everyone but Rockford Ice Hogs fans.  Like I said this morning, the IceHogs should be good and fun to watch this season.

It’s the Hawks and Red Wings tonight, and here are some morning links to start your Thursday morning .
