Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! If you missed last night, you sure missed the best opening night I’ve ever watched in my lifetime as the Hawks beat down the Pittsburgh Penguins 10-1.

This was like a Christmas morning and you received so many great presents that you don’t know what was your favorite thing!

Well, I will try.  The passing of Patrick Kane to start it all off was fantastic! The feed to Ryan Hartman to start off the festivities was just an incredible pass that only a few can make while still getting the goalie to commit to the other side of his cage.  The spin-o-rama pass was pretty special too so it was great to see #88 adapting to his new linemates.

Having Brandon Saad back just made me happy anyways , and then you know he had a hat trick in his first preseason game which was cool, but to match that on opening night is pretty mind blowing.  Saad and Bobby Hull are the only two Chicago Blackhawks to ever have a hat trick on opening night!  With Saad in the lineup the Hawks just look bigger and faster than they did last season especially against the Predators.

Of course, thankfully Nick Schmaltz is ok, because he was the straw that stirred the drink for the Blackhawks.  He just looks like his game is 10 times better than last season.  He looks faster and smoother and his pass to Richard Panik was perfect as well as Schmaltz’s back hand goal.

Too much fun last, but I like it!! Here are some morning links to start your Victory Friday!
