Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks we watched in April showed up at the United Center on Friday night as they lost to the Nashville Predators 2-1.  Tonight they are in Denver to take on the Avalanche in another Central Division showdown.

So the big line changes didn’t equal to any more offense so the mad scientist Joel Quenneville will have to go back to the drawing board once again for tonight’s game. The good thing is they are playing a Colorado Avalanche team that gave up 7 goals in a 7-0 wipeout to the Vegas Golden Knights last night.

The one player that looked totally out of place in my opinion was Richard Panik.  He didn’t look comfortable at all playing with Patrick Kane and Nick Schmaltz, and Coach Q must have felt the same way since he put John Hayden with those two in the third period.  It takes a special skill set (not quoting Taken even though i did watch it last week sometime) to play with Kane, so finding that player really is key for Q to jump start the offense.

The thing I like about Hayden so far this season is that no matter what line Q has put him on, he’s played hard, forechecked like a man possessed and has created chances.  He was on the doorstep last night trying to bang in a nice pass from Schmaltz in the third period, but Pekka Rinne got the best of him last night.

The Hawks need to get this offense jump started so let’s hope a trip to Colorado will do the trick tonight.
