The Chicago Blackhawks are playing back to back games this weekend, and on the back end they get to travel to Denver to faceoff against the Colorado Avalanche in a Central Division showdown.

The Avalanche are also playing on back to back nights, and their weekend started with a loss as well as they got destroyed by the alleged expansion team Vegas Golden Knights 7-0 in Vegas last night.

The Hawks lost as well in a tough Central Division battle to their new nemesis the Nashville Predators 2-1.  The night was supposed to be a fun one with the Hawks scoring goals with their newly formed lines, but the only goal of the night came from Artem Anisimov short handed.

One thing I like is the fact that when Tommy Wingels and Lance Bouma are on the ice they are making things happen.  They forecheck, they finish off checks, and they create penalties. This is a perfect 4th line if you ask me.

The other three lines are a mess, and if you ask me which no one is the problem is Patrick Sharp.  He’s just not what he used to be and he’s not creating any offense.  I know I said the same thing about Anisimov and he scored last night, but the old vet needs to start being productive on the offensive end and not just shooting pucks into the goalies chest.

The Hawks have a chance against a much weaker team to get things straightened out tonight, so will they score and win or will we have the excuse of altitude and back to back nights when the final horn sounds tonight in Denver?

I knew if I predicted a 5-3 game I would end up getting a 2-1 game so I should have went the other way last night if I wanted a high scoring affair.   Oh well on to tonight’s game!

The Hawks offense will find it’s way once again tonight let by Nick Schmaltz who will have a multi-point game tonight in the Hawks 5-1 win over the Avs.

Three Stars Prediction

#2 Star- John Hayden– 2 Goals 1 Assist
