The Chicago Blackhawks are home tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers on Rivalry night! The Hawks will be hoping to change their losing ways now that the calendar has turned to the month of November.
The Chicago Blackhawks Head Coach Joel Quenneville has changed his lineup on a regular basis since the Hawks have gone into an early season tailspin. Tonight is no different if you looked at this mornings morning skate lines.
I will say that moving Brandon Saad away from Jonathan Toews worries me some, but to be honest that top line hadn’t produced much in the past week so why not. The one thing that I’ve been asking for from Coach Q apparently just won’t happen, and that Alex DeBrincat with Nick Schmaltz and Patrick Kane.
It seems like Coach Q is stuck with the notion he needs someone with Kane and Schmaltz that will crash the net, and we know DeBrincat is a sniper not a net front presence kind of guy. I just want to see DeBrincat in the Artemi Panarin spot for a few games just to see if it could/would work.
Besides that I like the bottom line, and wherever John Hayden goes you know that he will be giving it his all on a nightly basis. The problem with any line combo is the fact that the Hawks are having to hide Patrick Sharp instead of calling up Vinnie Hinostroza. Sharp no longer has disruptive speed!

The defense really isn’t that much of a worry if you ask me. Eventually, Joel Quenneville will land on a combination that he likes, but until then he will just continue to tinker with it and i’m just fine with that.
