Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks faceoff against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight on the road, and they will need to bring their A Game because you know the Pens will be out for revenge after the 10-1 whipping the Hawks administered on opening night last month.
After a very dismal stretch of games, the Hawks are back to scoring goals and being a lot more fun to watch, and tonight they will be looking for their second straight win. When it comes to two, the line in Point Break about Gary Busey telling Keanu Reeves he wants two meatball sandwiches always comes to mind.
The Hawks defense has been getting shredded most of the season, and if you ask me you can blame Joel Quenneville and his 8 Merry men back there for the issues! Q hasn’t settled on 6 so he keeps rotating guys in and out which doesn’t build any kind of chemistry. Coach Q finally woke up and limited Brent Seabrook‘s time and good things started to happen.

The thing is it’s not just us saying the Hawks defense is struggled looked at these stats that are pretty revealing of how the season has gone so far.
The Hawks defense is much better at pinching and creating offense than it is defending which creates other problems. The Hawks defense played one of its better games all season the last time they played Pittsburgh. I’m not expecting another 10-1 wipeout, but back to back wins would be a nice consolation prize.
