The Chicago Blackhawks are 10-8-2 after their first 20 games of the season, and the other night I simply put what are your thoughts about the Blackhawks start.
The question is simple, yet the answers were pretty complex. It’s not just simply more goals, or better defense! It’s about developing and letting players grow into their roles. So here are some of the replies I received this week on Twitter about how everyone feels about the Chicago Blackhawks start to the season.
Room for improvement, and with as many games as we play, plenty of time for it. #OneGoal pic.twitter.com/SlHM0p8DGC

Just not the same Championship level Blackhawks. The league has caught up and is certainly no longer afraid of their skill level.

They are getting it together/gelling, but I think a couple guys should be shown seats - Sharp looks tired and at times like Q decided to put Rozi on the O lines. Seabrook is another one, despite a nice play every now and then - too many turnovers.

Still trying to figure out who they are. Too many penalties and that’s killing shift momentum

The bright spots truly have been Crow and now we are seeing something from DeBrincat and Anisimov has been getting some nice action in front of the net. Too many turnovers and the D needs to be better. The play is far too inconsistent.

Not good enough. Hopefully Bowman will finally be held accountable.

Overall, I believe Chicago Blackhawks fans have faith that the team has one more long playoff run in them, but they need to see more consistency from them this year before they believe it will be this spring. I do think Stan needs to make one move at the trade deadline with the cap space they have with Marian Hossa.
