Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks faceoff against the Washington Capitals tonight in the Nation’s Capital in a meeting between two teams that are far off last years pace.

Last year, the Chicago Blackhawks and Washington Capitals were both the top two teams in their respective divisions.  This year, it’s a not so fast kind of situation.

The real stinker is the Chicago Blackhawks who are now a bottom feeder in the very competitive Central Division. In three games in four nights the Hawks picked up 2 out of possible 6 points which only makes you free fall in the division and conference.

The goalie position is the only one that fans can point to as a stable situation.  Corey Crawford has been great all year long, and Anton Forsberg was pretty good in his own right the past few times out.  Even Joel Quenneville said that Forsberg needs some more run support.

Not to beat the drum over and over and over again, but the Hawks need to shake up the roster, and the only player in the system that gives the team that kind of jolt would be Vinnie Hinostroza because he has disruptive speed.  He’s gone down to Rockford and played his butt off and he deserves to be playing a role on this Blackhawks team.
