Chicago Blackhawks Vs Vancouver Canucks, Live Streaming, Predictions, and More

The Chicago Blackhawks travel to Vancouver tonight to faceoff against the Canucks in a game between two teams that are on the outside looking in to the playoff race in the Western Conference. 

Remember back when these two teams were bitter rivals 7,8 years ago.  Those were really good times as the Chicago Blackhawks were trying to climb into the NHL elite by beating Roberto Luongo and Ryan Kesler and the Twins.  These were some of the best playoff series that I can remember that made a team a rival.

Well, sadly those days are long gone with the Canucks having fallen on hard times and haven’t made the playoffs in a few seasons now.  They are currently 6 points out of the playoff race, but their goal differential of -23 suggests they aren’t in the race at all this season.

The Chicago Blackhawks need to jump on this team early and often tonight for a couple of reasons. First they need to let the Canucks now they are picking up two points tonight, and they need to give Anton Forsberg some goals to let him play his game instead of making him think he needs to stop everything for the Hawks to have a chance tonight.

The injury to Corey Crawford is the most troubling thing right now, because it seems like he re aggravated his previous injury since this is the second time he’s been on I.R. this year. The Hawks need Forsberg to hold down the fort again until Crawford returns.  The good thing about Forsberg is that he looks to improve when he gets more work in then just random starts along the way.

These are big points for the Hawks to pick up when they are playing teams they should defeat this season.

Well, the predictions area went down the tubes last week with two really bad predictions before the Christmas break so hopefully Santa left some better predictions under the tree for tonight!

The Chicago Blackhawks need a win and they usually play better after breaks than before them. So I’m taking the Hawks to win 4-1 with the Captain Jonathan Toews leading the way!
