Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! Before the season started, the Edmonton Oilers were one of the Stanley Cup favorites, but the Chicago Blackhawks have now defeated them twice in the last month including a 4-1 win yesterday.

The Chicago Blackhawks needed a win Sunday afternoon after choking away a 4-3 lead in the third period to the Vegas Golden Knights Friday night, and they skated away with a relatively easy 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

The Chicago Blackhawks were very balanced in their scoring with seemingly everyone getting on the scoresheet but Patrick Kane which is always good for the rolling 4 lines/ balanced scoring talks.

The player we all were asking to get called up has really solidified the top line. Vinnie Hinostroza is currently on a 5 game point streak with 2 goals and 5 assists in that time period, while Brandon Saad and Jonathan Toews are now on 4 game point streaks.

You have to like the speed factor that Vinnie gives the top line, but the biggest difference between this year and previous ones is the fact that Vinnie isn’t just running up and down the ice, but he’s making plays.

More from Blackhawks News

It’s no secret that the Hawks are a much dangerous team if they have more than one line producing points, and with #48 picking up the top line the Hawks could be a dangerous team in January.
