Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks Stan Bowman did exactly what your not supposed to.. Sell Low when he dealt Richard Panik to the Arizona Coyotes.
Since the Chicago Blackhawks shuffled the deck earlier this week we felt like a trade was brewing. Well a trade really did happen on Thursday night when the Chicago Blackhawks moved Richard Panik for Anthony Duclair and some AHL players.
In the offseason Stan Bowman said he was making changes because he wasn’t happy, and today he finally made another change today when he moved Panik. I don’t have a problem moving Panik, it’s not like I’m about to burn any #14 jerseys today because of the trade. The thing is no matter what the return was for Panik, Bowman continues to sell low in most trades.
Panik scored his first goal since Halloween on Wednesday night, and what did he get for breaking his dry streak is a one way ticket to the desert! Panik was a solid player last year, but he went on a real dry stretch, and Joel Quenneville wanted nothing to do with him with his game going south.

Will Duclair fit in is a great question, but the Hawks not retaining any salary is a good thing. The Hawks could have used a defensive player, but maybe Panik was bad in the locker room so see ya later #14!
