TAMPA, FL - JANUARY 28: Patrick Kane

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The All-Star Break is over, and now tomorrow the Chicago Blackhawks need to really get to work and start putting together a bunch of wins!

The good news is the breaks are finally over tomorrow, but the bad news is they face the Nashville Predators who have been their tormentor ever since last years playoffs.

Before we talk about the week ahead I do want to say that I guess I have had a hard time getting into the new NHL All-Star format because the Central Division has been one and done all three years of the 3 on 3 format.  Not getting to see Patrick Kane for more than one game is quite disappointing for three straight years.

I do like the 3 on 3 format it really is great to see how talented the players are in the NHL along with the skills challenge.  Sadly, I’m too much of a homer to watch the entire skills challenge with Kane only participating in one event.  Overall it’s great that the NHL put on a good show this weekend.

Now the work is for the Hawks to make up 4 points and 4 teams in 32 games to make the playoffs.  When you put it that way it doesn’t sounds so daunting, but the Hawks have been so inconsistent this season that’s who knows what they will bring to the table at the end of this roller coaster season.
