The Chicago Blackhawks travel to Vancouver tonight and will try to increase their winning streak to 3 straight games.

The one thing I noticed the most Tuesday night was the Hawks matched the Nashville Predators speed for the first time in some time. It’s nice to see the Hawks skating with one of the fastest teams in the NHL.

Now they will need to beat a non-playoff team in the Vancouver Canucks and try to finally find some consistency in their game. Consistency was the biggest issue for the Chicago Blackhawks in the first half of the season, and now we will see if they can find it in the 2nd half of the year.

The offense still needs to get more traffic in front of the opposing goalies, and get more players to the net. One thing I did notice in Nashville was seeing Artem Anisimov get to the net which is where he did most of his damage the past two season, but hadn’t got their too much since returning from injury.

I would like to know if Erik Gustafsson is getting playing time because of his speed and play or if the Hawks are trying to showcase him for a possible trade deadline deal because he hasn’t left the lineup since finally getting into the lineup.

More from Blackhawks News

Anton Forsberg gets the start tonight, and he was really good on Tuesday night expect when he got behind the net with his puck handling ability having a lot to be desired.  Stopping 42 shots on Tuesday night is very impressive so hopefully he can carry that kind of performance to Vancouver tonight.

My predictions weren’t as good as the previous game, but I still had Vinnie Hinostroza having a good game which is what happened so let’s look at tonight’s contest.

Final Score Predictions

The Chicago Blackhawks put up another huge first period on the scoreboard bringing their A game and scoring 3 times in the first frame. They carry that big first to a 6-2 win with Anthony Duclair picking up his first 2 goal game in a Chicago Blackhawks jersey.

Three Stars Predictions

#3 Star- Duncan Keith– 1st Goal of the Season
