After losing 8 straight games, the Chicago Blackhawks have now won 3 out of their last 4 games, and they now travel to Columbus to faceoff against the Blue Jackets tonight.
The Chicago Blackhawks are playing all the kids and playing a straightforward game, and guess what, all of a sudden with the trade deadline looming the Chicago Blackhawks are winning games.
It looks like Anton Forsberg will be in net tonight, and after a pretty solid win, I wouldn’t expect any changes from Joel Quenneville in the lineup tonight besides Forsberg in net.
When the Hawks started the game last night they had a 0.5% chance to make the playoffs, and with the win last night they are up to 1%. The Chicago Blackhawks have 20 games left, and one would have to believe they would have to win 17-18 of the last 20 to make the playoffs. Can they do it sure, is it reasonable to think they have a shot, not really.
The thing is the core of this team has done some special things the past 10 years, so them being able to make the playoffs being 10 points behind with 20 to play would be something really special.
The biggest thing is that the trade deadline is really right around the corner, and the lineup we see tonight could be totally different after the deadline if Bowman becomes a rare seller at the deadline.

Of course, tonight’s game will involve a big discussion about the Artemi Panarin trade for Brandon Saad that the two teams made this past offseason. To say Saad has been a major disappointment is an understatement, and Patrick Kane‘s production has dipped as well.
