The Chicago Blackhawks look to get back on track today at home against the Los Angeles Kings.
Tonight, the Chicago Blackhawks face off against the Los Angeles Kings, a team that was supposed to be one of the worst in the league. Things change quickly after a month of hockey.
The Chicago Blackhawks have been anything but successful this season. They have struggled so much that some fans are considering throwing in the towel already.
The Blackhawks now have a record of 2-5-2 compared to the Kings’ 4-7-0 record. Sure, the Kings’ record is not great, but they are better than the Blackhawks right now. Don’t expect tonight to be a walk in the park by any means.

Robin Lehner will start tonight in the crease for the Blackhawks. During a back-to-back, it is normal to get both goalies a shot in the crease, so today is Lehner’s turn to get a win. Corey Crawford gave up 4 goals yesterday against the Carolina Hurricanes, and although that is a lot considering the Blackhawks played horribly, I don’t think you can blame that loss on Crow.
Lehner will be looking to get a win tonight against the Kings. After his last loss against the Flyers where he made 19 saves, Lehner talked about this Chicago Blackhawks’ team being good in small spurts. He also mentioned how he was liking what he was seeing from the team.

Let’s see if the Blackhawks can take the next step tonight against the LA Kings. I know that the Blackhawks have not been the best team in hockey, and so do they at this point.
Jeremy Colliton is looking to send a message tonight by scratching Brent Seabrook. If you ask me, it might be too little too late for a decision like that.
Seabrook is a healthy scratch tonight. Gilbert is in.

Dennis Gilbert will start on defense tonight for the Blackhawks. Murphy is out with an injury and Seabrook is a healthy scratch, so the already weak Blackhawks’ defense will only be weaker.
Keep your eye on Brandon Saad tonight. Saad has been the star of the Chicago Blackhawks so far this season and currently has the second-most points on the team with 5. Considering Jeremy Colliton has shot Alex DeBrincat and Dylan Strome in the foot by separating them throughout the game, it is nice to see Saad step up.

From the LA side of things, keep your eye on Anze Kopitar who currently leads the team with 11 points so far this season. Kopitar and company are coming to Chicago to play the second game of a back-to-back as well. Yesterday, the Kings lost 5-1 to the Minnesota Wild in Minnesota.
Can the Chicago Blackhawks just get one win please? If they don’t, they might find themselves done for the year in November, yikes.
