During the NHL break, instead of continuing to make Bauer Hockey equipment, Bauer Hockey has stepped into action to help save lives.

Times are tough right now, and there’s not a lot of comforts to be taken from the news. There are positive stories though, and hockey equipment provider Bauer is stepping up to lend a hand to the fight against COVID-19.

While the NHL has shut down, equipment supplier Bauer has offered to create protective gear for people working on the front lines against the Coronavirus that is spreading around the globe.

These are the kinds of stories that are most needed at times like these. People stepping up in unique and innovative ways to help those that need it.

In case you’re wondering, a lot of the Blackhawks players wear equipment made by Bauer, and even let a handful of players, including Kane and Toews test out some gear when it was brand new back in 2013.

At some point, the hockey season will resume. Maybe this year, maybe next year, but in the meantime its nice that people are stepping up in positive ways even when things seem to be at their worst.

As much as we all love the Chicago Blackhawks and ice hockey in general, there are bigger things that need tending to.

Fortunately, companies like Bauer have been able to offer a hand. How about a stick tap for this unlikely helper!
