Blackhawks: Why the United Center is one of the best stadiums

The United Center might not be one of the oldest rinks in the NHL, but at the same time, the Chicago Blackhawks stadium is one of the best!

The United Center came about thanks to all of the Bulls’ success with Michael Jordan. There would be no United Center without Jordan and the Bulls’ success. But the great thing about it is the fact the Blackhawks have made it their own home in the last 25 years.

When I think of the United Center I think of the loud National Anthems, and the passionate Blackhawks fans ready to watch the Blackhawks succeed. The Madhouse on Madison has always been great, and it belongs next to some of the other great rinks in the league.

There are a lot of great stadiums in the NHL. Obviously Madison Square Garden is amazing and historic. Centre Stadium in Montreal is also amazing, thanks to how passionate their fans are. Many people are talking about the new stadium down in Vegas as one of the best, but in my opinion, the UC is where it is at.

The United Center recently added an entire new jumbotron to their rink last season, and before that, they went out and added a new building next to the stadium. The Blackhawks are doing all they can to make the UC one of the best in the league, and it is a testimony to all of the success the Blackhawks have had.

How can the United Center not be one of the top rinks in the league? Not only is it constantly adding new fun features for fans, but it continues to be one of the most packed stadiums in the league a testimony to their great fans.

I have not been to every rink in the NHL, so yes I might be a little biased, but at the same time, the United Center has to be in the top five if not 10 rinks in the NHL. What is your favorite rink in the NHL?
