Blackhawks: Toews leaves practice, 3 others miss practice
The Chicago Blackhawks started their second week of training camp today without Corey Crawford, Connor Murphy, and Calvin de Haan. Jonathan Toews would leave practice early.
The Chicago Blackhawks have already seen their fair share of injuries with now Corey Crawford and Connor Murphy being unfit to play. Calvin de Haan missed practice today again with a family matter, which is something that probably won’t keep him out of the playoffs.
Murphy missing time has opened up the door for Brent Seabrook to see more playing time, along with giving more chances to a younger player from Rockford to see some ice time in the playoffs.
Jonathan Toews left practice early, which is something that has fans worried about on social media. Toews snapped his stick while working on the power play and left practice early. Which has fans worried is that he did not return.
Toews could have left for many reasons. I’m not jumping to any conclusions until we hear from Jeremy Colliton or even Jonathan Toews himself. Fans should wait before overreacting, as it could be nothing. My early, optimistic guess is that he was having a light practice, something that was planned before hand.
Besides the Toews news, everything else went business as usual, as we all knew Crawford, Murphy, and de Haan weren’t going to take part in today’s practice. Of the three, expect to see de Haan back first. Murphy is up in the air and who knows what’s going on with Crawford.
