The Chicago Blackhawks will be in Nashville tonight to take on the Predators for their seventh game of the season. The season did not start great, but two good games against the Red Wings have given the Blackhawks new life. Can they keep things going against the Predators?

The Nashville Predators can score goals. Their top line of Arvidsson and Forsberg have combined for nine points thus far this season. When it comes to beating the Predators, the Blackhawks will need to shut down their top two lines.

Chicago is going to be shorthanded tonight. With Adam Boqvist and Alex DeBrincat added to the NHL’s COVID protocol list, the team will need some new stars to rise to the occasion. Personally, I think now would be a great time for the Blackhawks to give some new faces a chance from their taxi squad. Maybe fans can finally see defensemen Wyatt Kalynuk or Nicolas Beaudin with the team.

The Nashville Predators have lost their last three games and are in desperate need of a win. After two disappointing games in Dallas, the Predators will be back in their home rink to face the Blackhawks.

Considering the Predators’ next matchup will be against the Tampa Bay Lightning, it is safe to assume they need the win tonight or tomorrow against Chicago. Hopefully, the Blackhawks will be ready to go and will do their best to compete against the Predators. This will be a tougher game than what Chicago saw against Detroit; hopefully, the ‘Hawks can rise to the occasion!

The Chicago Blackhawks game tonight will be the first of back to back games against the Nashville Predators.
