A familiar face is being added back into the lineup tonight for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Kirby Dach has not seen time on ice since before the season began. During the World Junior Championships, Dach fell to a wrist injury early on in the tournament and was out for the majority of the season with a broken wrist. The Blackhawks are lucky to add Dach back into the mix.
Kirby Dach managing to heal this quickly and get back onto the ice is a testimony of his worth ethic as well as his youth. Hopefully, over the course of the next few weeks, Dach will be able to take on a bigger role with the team.
Dach’s return will be a very big talking point during the coming weeks as hopefully, he will be able to take this team to the next level. After the great play from Dach during the playoffs last summer, big things are expected out of Dach for the remainder of the season.
The Hawks and Predators have not played against each other in over a month, and this game features some key personnel changes on both sides of the rink. The Predators are without Filip Forsberg and defenseman Matt Benning.
Losing Forsberg is a huge loss for the team even if it just for a few games. On the other side, Chicago is lucky to add Dach back to the team, a move that definitely makes the lineup deeper.
It definitely will be important to see how the lines change throughout the course of the game. While Dach is not starting alongside Kane and DeBrincat, over the course of the next few weeks that line hopefully will become the norm in Chicago.
