The Chicago Blackhawks are heading to Detroit tonight for their latest preseason matchup. Here is everything you need to know ahead of tonight’s game.

The preseason has not been too kind to the Blackhawks when it comes to wins and losses, but it definitely has given the team an opportunity to spot out some talent. There have been a lot of players playing well in the preseason that have increased their chances to make the roster.

One guy, in particular, that has shined so far has been Caleb Jones. Jones came into training camp as one of the offseason’s big additions, but he was over shined by Jake McCabe and Seth Jones, but now Caleb has made a case for himself to make the team.

Another play who definitely increased his stock with the team is Adam Gaudette. Gaudette has brought a little bit of everything to the table and there is no doubt he will be on the opening night roster.

Let’s talk about the Hawks’ lineup.

Chicago Blackhawks Projected Lineup Via

DeBrincat – Johnson – Kane

Kubalik – Toews – Kurashev

Hardman – Borgstrom – Carpenter

Hagel – Gaudette – Entwistle

McCabe – S. Jones

de Haan – Murphy

C. Jones – Galvas

Not many surprises in the top six. It is cool to see the Hawks give Kurashev a chance with Toews and Kubalik as that right-wing position next to Toews and Kubalik is wide open right now. The third line of Borgstrom Hardman and Carpenter is a really interesting line with three guys that have a lot to gain from a good performance tonight in Detroit. Hopefully, they will be on fire.

The defense looks pretty similar to what we could see come opening night, minus Galvas. That sixth spot could go to anyone from Stillman to Kalynuk. There are a lot of starters playing tonight including Marc-Andre Fleury in the net. Hopefully, this will be a big game for the Hawks on the goal sheet.

Detroit Red Wings Roster For Tonights Game:

Detroit is also playing their fair share of starters tonight so overall this is going to be a great game to watch. I am really excited to see Pius Suter on the Wings tonight as he was one of the big-name players the Hawks lost last season so how he does in Detroit is going to be fun to see.
