The Chicago Blackhawks season starts today in Colorado, but before puck drop check out the latest Blackhawk Up Podcast with all the news you need ahead of puck drop.

The Blackhawks have not had this excitement going into a season since winning their last championship.

This truly feels like a turning point for the Blackhawks as they begin their quest to make the playoffs. Today Jimmy and Jeremiah look at the roster and talk about everything you need to know ahead of tonight’s game.

Some topics in today’s podcast include:

The move to sign Gustafsson was definitely interesting for the team. As someone who was a little busy the past week, checking my phone to see Twitter blowing up with the news on Gustafsson was comical to see. Bowman hadn’t brought back any former Hawks yet this offseason, but the late addition of Gustafsson fills that need. Oh, it might also have something to do with the team being out a few other critical defenders in Caleb Jones, Wyatt Kalynuk, and Alec Regula.

  • The Dylan Strome Trade Rumors:

The Blackhawks have had one player on the roster that fans have been asking to move all summer long, and that is Dylan Strome. With the news that the team is shopping Strome, this is a big discussion point in the podcast, and what the team could have done differently.

Puck drop is at nine o’clock tonight between the Avalanche and Blackhawks. To listen to Jeremiah’s three keys to tonight’s game check out episode eight of the Blackhawk Up podcast! Thank you for listening to each episode this offseason, and thank you for reading along with us all offseason long. The season is here and I think Blackhawks fans are in for a treat with how the team could potentially finish in 2021-22!
