The Chicago Blackhawks united Seth Jones and Caleb Jones in Chicago this offseason when they traded for Caleb from Edmonton and Seth from Columbus. The brothers playing together is great to see and I think both are going to have long careers with this team.

Seth Jones is starting to turn Blackhawks fans around.

So far through the first 16 games of the season, Seth Jones has 14 points during that time. Caleb on the other hand just played his first game with the team this season after missing the start of the year with an injury.

It is great to have Caleb Jones back as the team definitely needed to add his presence back to the blue line in order to provide some new life. The first handful of games were rough this season, but with reinforcements like Caleb and Wyatt Kalynuk now the team can stop relying on Erik Gustafsson.

Seth Jones 23:06 minutes last night against the Seattle Kraken. While the team fell apart a little later in the game, Jones overall had a strong night scoring a goal on the one shot he had tonight. The team definitely is going to need more shots from the point from Jones as his stats show he is most effective at getting pucks on net near the point, so let’s shoot more from there.

Caleb Jones played for just 9:52 last night, but about half of those minutes came while playing with his brother Seth. Caleb and Seth played together for 4:25 last night and that was awesome to see.

Caleb Jones is only going to get more ice time as the season goes on. Yesterday’s game could be chalked up as a type of training camp and practice run for the young defenseman. After not playing a game for over a month spending a night getting back into the swing of things is a good call and I think the team made the right decision opting for seven defenseman on a night like that.

Hopefully against the Edmonton Oilers, Caleb Jones’s old team, he gets a bigger opportunity. The Hawks will be back on Saturday to face off against the Oilers. The team will be looking for their fifth straight win.
