The Chicago Blackhawks are set to celebrate 100 years of hockey this upcoming season, and with it there are some potential options for jersey retirements.

No. 27 Jeremy Roenick

My last potential option seems like a pick the Blackhawks have been preparing for. Jeremy Roenick has long been an ambassador for the Blackhawks since his playing days came to a close at the end of the 2008-09 season.

Roenick started his NHL career with the Blackhawks playing in 524 games from 1988 to 1996. Over the course of eight seasons Roenick registered 596 points including 267 goals and this past season he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The Blackhawks team store has been filled with Roenick jersey's over the past few seasons, especially last year with his HOF induction. If Chicago was looking to wait a while longer before honoring any recent players, Roenick could be a good pick.
