- Connor Bedard had something waiting for him when he returned to his locker room stall following Monday’s practice. The social media team put 100 plastic apples in his stall to represent the 100-assist milestone he recently hit.

- Speaking of Monday’s practice, Teuvo Teravainen and Matt Grzelcyk were absent with maintenance days, but are expected to play tomorrow night. Andre Burakovsky skated on his own but did not participate with his teammates. Head coach Jeff Blashill said he’s progressing and is still considered day-to-day. Goaltender Laurent Brossoit took part in some drills for the first time this season.
- On this date in 1951, goaltender Harry Lumley left with an injury after the second period of a 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. Assistant trainer Moe Roberts put on the pads and replaced him in the crease for the final frame, not allowing a goal. It was his first NHL action since he played for the New York Americans during the 1933-34 season. At three weeks shy of his 46th birthday, Roberts still holds the record for being the oldest goaltender in NHL history.
- Three years later, Bill Mosienko became the first Blackhawks player to score 250 goals. He became the sixth player to join the 250-goal club in a 3-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens.

NHL Chirps
- According to Elliotte Friedman, the Vancouver Canucks have let it be known they are open to trading “veteran players” to get younger. The well-informed insider added that Quinn Hughes is not one of those players. At least not at this time.
- The Columbus Blue Jackets suffered multiple losses on Monday. First, they lost to the Washington Capitals 5-1. More importantly, star defenseman Zach Werenski left the game with an upper-body injury. Head coach Dean Evason did not have an update on the Norris Trophy candidate. Forward Mathieu Olivier left the game in the first period, and Kirill Marchenko left morning skate early and did not play.
- Tristen Nielsen, who picked up his first NHL point against the Blackhawks on Sunday, was reassigned to the American Hockey League. The Colorado Avalanche sent him and Jason Polin to the Colorado Eagles.
- Logan Cooley had a massive night in the Utah Mammoth’s 5-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights. He assisted on the team’s first goal, then scored the next four on his own. He had the first four-goal game in team history and became the seventh player 21 or younger in the past 25 years to score four goals in a game. The others on this list are Patrik Laine, Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, Sam Bennett, Tyler Seguin, and Tomas Hertl.
- NHL Birthday Roll Call, Nov. 25: Eddie Shore, Bob Kelly, Gilbert Delorme, Jeff Norton, Magnus Arvedson, John-Michael Liles, Philipp Grubauer, Marcus Hogberg, and Pavel Mintyukov.
