As first reported by The Athletic’s Scott Powers, the Chicago Blackhawks have recalled Oliver Moore. This move was speculated about yesterday when he was held out of the Rockford IceHogs’ game against the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Moore had an excellent training camp and preseason with the Blackhawks. He was in the mix to make the team to the very end and probably deserved to break camp with the NHL squad. The young forward did not let the disappointment of his demotion derail his season. In his nine American Hockey League games, he scored six goals and nine points.

The Blackhawks are already a fast team, and they will be even faster with Moore in the lineup. His skating is his best attribute, and now he’s found his scoring touch with the IceHogs. He could be a dynamic weapon for the Blackhawks in all three phases of the game.
In a corresponding move, the Blackhawks placed forward Jason Dickinson on injured reserve, retroactive to Oct. 30. He's been bothered by a shoulder injury suffered during the second game of the season against the Boston Bruins.
