NHL Chirps
- Tonight’s opponent, the Ottawa Senators, beat the Boston Bruins 7-2 last night. After defeating the Washington Capitals 7-1 on Saturday, they scored seven goals in back-to-back games for the first time since 1993.
- Sidney Crosby had a heck of a night in the Pittsburgh Penguins’ 6-3 win over the St. Louis Blues. With a goal and two assists, he is now the only active player in the NHL with 1,700 career points. He also set the franchise record for the most multi-point games, as well as reaching 1,900 points in the regular season and playoffs combined.
- Staying in Pittsburgh, a fan was taken to an area hospital with “life-threatening injuries” after falling from the upper deck at PPG Paints Arena. According to The Athletic’s Josh Yohe, this is the third time this season, and the second time in three days, someone has been hospitalized after a high fall at a Pittsburgh sporting venue.
