Third Period Woes...

Takeaways from the Game...
1. The Kids are Alright: Chicago's three goals came from their younger players, Colton Dach, Frank Nazar, and Louis Crevier, showcasing potential for the Blackhawks' rebuild.
2. Special Team Issue: Overall, special teams has been the only thing that's been impressive from the Hawks this season. However, in this game alone, it was horrible. The Hawks were 0-for-2 on the man-advantage and allowed three power play goals on the penalty kill. The Hawks couldn't stay out of the box and took useless penalties throughout the game.
Shades of the Carolina Game: Like the Carolina game on Monday, Chicago were heavily outshot (40-14). This will be challenging as the Hawks are continuing to face off against playoff caliber teams.
These two teams will face off again Tuesday Jan. 28 in Tampa.
What's Next: The Blackhawks conclude their four-game homestand against the Minnesota Wild on Sunday at 6 p.m. CST on CHSN.
