The Chicago Blackhawks snapped their seven-game losing streak with a 7-4 win over the Philadelphia Flyers Sunday. With the win, the Blackhawks move to 21-41-9 of the season.

Tyler Bertuzzi recorded a goal and two assists, Joe Veleno notched a goal and an assist, and Spencer Knight made 24 saves to help Chicago secure the victory.

Goal Scoring Affair

Philadelphia struck first on Jamie Drysdale's shot from the blue line, which deflected off Blackhawks defenseman Louis Crevier and past Knight to make it 1-0 Flyers.

Patrick Maroon, announced before Saturday's game against St. Louis that he will retire after this season, tied the game up at one on a bang-bang passing play, finishing Nick Foligno's feed from the right faceoff circle into a wide-open net.

Just 47 seconds later, Joe Veleno put the Blackhawks up 2-1.

This was Veleno's first goal with the Hawks and sixth of the season. Veleno was acquired in a trade from the Detroit Red Wings for Petr Mrazek and Craig Smith at the NHL Trade Deadline.

Philadelphia answered back as Travis Sanheim tied the game 12 seconds later with a shot from the right point that deflected off Knight's glove and into the net.

Bobby Brink gave the Flyers the lead back, scoring on the backhand on a net-mound scramble.

Connor Bedard evened the score at 3-3 with a laser shot top shelf past Fedotov off the Blackhawks' faceoff win. With the goal, Bedard joins Eddie Olczyk as the second Blackhawks player to notch two 20-goal seasons as a teenager.

The first period ended in a 3-3 tie, with Philadelphia outshooting Chicago 11-9.

Blackhawks Second Period Takeover

Tyler Bertuzzi gave the Blackhawks the lead back 2:37 into the second period with a slick backhand top shelf past Ivan Fedotov.

Ryan Donato extended the lead to 5-3 on a power play goal as he deflected the puck out in front of the net off the shot from Teuvo Teravainen.

Travis Konecny made it a one-goal game again, tipping in a shot from Jamie Drysdale, who picked up his second point of the game.

Ryan Donato struck again on the power play, restoring the Blackhawks' two-goal lead. Teravainen recorded his second assist on Donato's power play goal.

Chicago dominated the second period, outshooting Philadelphia 16-9 as they heading into the intermission with a two-goal lead.

Put the Icing on the Cake

Lukas Reichel sealed the deal for the Blackhawks, making it 7-3 Chicago as he had Fedotov down and out before tapping the puck home into a wide open net.

The Blackhawks controlled play the rest of the way, securing their first win since March 7.

3 Key Takeaways from the Game:

1. Blackhawks Put Up 7 on Ivan Fedotov: Fedotov, known for his towering 6-foot-7, 214-pound frame, couldn't contain Chicago's attack. The Blackhawks were able to solve him tonight, scoring a season-high seven goals.

2. Teravianen-Donato Connection: Ryan Donato scored twice on the power play, both assisted by Teuvo Teravainen, showing strong chemistry on the man-advantage.

3. Knight Bounce Back: Spencer Knight's last four starts have been a struggle. However, the 23-year-old delivered a solid performance with 24 saves. Knight's last win was on March 7 in the Blackhawks 4-3 overtime win over Utah Hockey Club.

What's Next: The Blackhawks continue their five-game homestand against the New Jersey Devils Wednesday. Puck drop is at 6:30 p.m. CST on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.
