Connor Bedard has an amazing reaction to his tripping penalty of former Chicago Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane will always be a Chicago Blackhawks legend even if he is now skating for the Detroit Red Wings.

The hope is Connor Bedard will join him in the legend category someday.

Bedard has already matched him by winning a Calder Trophy. Connor just needs to win at least three Stanley Cups (maybe one will at least suffice), a Conn Smythe, a Hart Trophy, make a couple more All-Star teams, score around 420 goals, and pick up about 500 assists.

That is the decorated career Kane had while wearing a Blackhawks sweater. That is the standard of greatness he left behind for Bedard to chase.

Kane also got the better of Bedard during last month's matchup at the United Center.

It was not just because the Red Wings won 4-1. Kane drew a tripping penalty from Bedard, and we are just now getting Bedard's amazing reaction as he skated toward the box.

You have to be impressed with the young man for not being intimidated by a player who had some of the most memorable moments in the UC.

That call led to the first of two power plays the Red Wings had in that contest. Thankfully, Detroit was not able to get a goal with the man advantage.

The interesting part of that game was neither Kane nor Bedard stole the show. Instead, it was Alex DeBrincat, another former Blackhawk, who had a goal and an assist.

Maybe Bedard was also taken aback that he called for penalty. It is not like he spends a lot of time in the box with 36 career penalty minutes.

Needless to say, the legend got the better of the emerging star. It is still pretty cool for Bedard to suggest maybe Kaner took a dive.
