After facing criticism from TNT analyst Paul Bissonnette and ESPN analysts Mark Messier and PK Subban for his recent performances, Connor Bedard wasted no time responding on the ice.
The 19-year-old recorded a goal and assist for a two-point night in the Blackhawks 6-2 win over the Predators on Friday.
In the Blackhawks 5-1 loss to the Panthers on Feb. 1 and a 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers on Feb. 5, Bedard's play was criticized on national television, with the analysts calling it "soft." The 19-year-old star, however, didn't have any concerns.
"I know if I messed up a play," Bedard said. "It's their job to point that out or say how they feel about something. But if I make a mistake, I know. I don't need to watch a TNT broadcast to figure out if I made a mistake. I'm going to know."

His response was clear. He held himself accountable and didn't need anyone telling him how to play better hockey. Instead, he let his game do the talking.
The Blackhawks were awarded their first power play of the night in the second period and Connor Bedard ripped a one-timer short side past Juuse Saros for the 3-1 lead.

At the final horn, Connor Bedard finished with a two-point performance as the Blackhawks won 6-2, ending their three-game losing streak.
With one game remaining before the 4-Nations break, Bedard and the Blackhawks will look to pick up another win Saturday against the St. Louis Blues.
Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. CST on CHSN.
