It was a game of runs that ultimately saw the Dallas Stars pull off a 6-4 victory. The Blackhawks were playing their best hockey so far this season. The Blackhawks had a 10-0 shot differential in the first half of the 1st and were up 4-1 in the 3rd period. Then the Stars capitalized on a penalty that opened up a run of 5 straight unanswered.

This was a game that got away from Blackhawks netminder Petr Mrazek. He gave up 4 goals in the 3rd period in just over 8 minutes. This was not a game that Chicago should have lost. This was a game where the Blackhawks outplayed a good team for 75-80% of the match.

Max Domi had a goal and an assist while captain Jonathan Toews picked up his 500th career regular season assist. Patrick Kane also picked up an assist to make it back to back games with a point. Kane is now just 5 points away from 1,200 (regular season) in his career.

This loss marks the Blackhawks 5th straight and drops them to a .395 pt %. This is the first time that Chicago sees themselves in the bottom 3 in point percentage in the league. The Hawks will welcome in Montreal on Friday for a matinee matchup against Kirby Dach and the Canadiens.

In other news... Ilya Sorokin should be handed the Vezina tonight after stopping 50 shots against Edmonton in a 3-0 win. Wow!
