19 days and counting until March 3rd. Last night the Arizona Coyotes healthy scratched Jakob Chychrun for "trade reasons". Erik Karlsson has been linked again to the Edmonton Oilers. It also looks like there is a battle for Timo Meier between at least two teams (Hurricanes and Devils).

These are the big names left and by all accounts they are nearing completions. After the big names are traded it should open a clear path for Kyle Davidson to start to trade our assets. The names are not new, but I believe Chicago will listen to offers for McCabe, Lafferty, Kane, Toews, Athanasiou, and Domi most notably.

So where will the big names end up? It's all speculation at this point, but best guesses are that Chychrun could end up in Los Angeles, Meier with Carolina, and Karlsson with Edmonton. Certainly Boston, Toronto, New Jersey, and a host of darkhorse teams will have a say in this until the end though.

Once those teams have made their moves, it should be a clear sign whom didn't fill their needs and Chicago should be their next call. Will Chicago get a 1st round pick for Jake McCabe, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews waive their clauses, or will Kyle Davidson surprise all of us with a deal we didn't expect? Time will tell, 19 days to be exact.
