It's been an up-and-down season for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Connor Bedard has stolen the hearts of Blackhawks fans with his league-leading 15 goals and 18 assists for 33 points for rookies. While Bedard's been stellar, the Hawks haven't been able to play as well as their rookie star as they're back in familiar territory sitting dead last in the NHL with 30 points.
And with Bedard out with a broken jaw, we won't be seeing his dazzling skills until early to mid March. But, with two and a half months left of Blackhawks hockey, there's still plenty of games in the schedule that will be a thrill to watch.
Here are some of the most interesting games left for the 2024 Chicago Blackhawks season...
5. Minessota Wild vs Blackhawks on Feb 7th
The Minnesota Wild will be headed to the Windy City for the first time this season on Feb 7th. The Blackhawks and the Wild have had a lot of history in the past 10 or so years.
Three playoff matchups in which the Hawks won each series (2013, 2014, 2015), and players like forward Ryan Hartman and goaltender Marc Andre Fleury having played for both franchises show these two team's recent history together has been electric.
The Hawks and Wild have met once so far this year in St. Paul with the Wild winning 4-1 on Dec 3rd. Wild forwards Mats Zuccarello and Marco Rossi took over this game as Zuccarello totaled a goal and two assists and Rossi notched two goals in the 4-1 win over the Hawks.
With the Hawks playing on home ice vs the Wild on Feb 7th, expect this game to be much closer as the Hawks play much better at home with 10 of their 14 wins coming at home this season.
