Patrick Kane to the Rangers Rumor Rundown

As of 6:19 tonight, Patrick Kane is still a Blackhawk. However, it sure seems that all this smoke has engulfed into quite the flame in the last hour. Multiple reports state that not only has Drury and the Rangers have interest in Kane, but Kane himself seems ready to head to New York.

IF and when Kane gives the OK, it seems the deal could come together quickly. Do not be expecting a good return though as reports are coming in quickly that the Rangers are only going to move players that don't factor into their plans (present or future). So no Brennan Othmann, Adam Sykora, Kappo Kakko, or high picks are coming to Chicago.

No, it sure sounds like cast off Vitali Kravstov is the headliner in the exchange with possibly prospect Zac Jones and perhaps a "mid-round pick". If so, that stinks. While I fully understand the "do right by Kane" narrative it still doesn't in anyway match his play of late. If you were to look at the players that have had 10 points in a 4 game stretch this year, I'm confident in saying they are worth more than some cast off parts.

Still, that is the point here isn't it. Patrick Kane picked one option. Thusly, they could offer us "future considerations" and we'd have to accept to "do right by Kane".

If there is one positive here it's for our tank champions that now don't have Patrick Kane around to single-handedly win us 4 in a row.
