The NHL has decided to pause their season until after Christmas with the Blackhawks next game on the schedule coming on December 28th against the Columbus Blue Jackets. This gives the team time to get ready for the next big piece of games on the schedule.

Patrick and I hopped on the Blackhawk Up Podcast to talk about the team and the direction of where things are heading moving forward, as well as a lot of other Hawks stuff during this hour of hockey talk.

We always appreciate you all listening along at home and hope you will check out today's episode of the show.

News of the day:

The Blackhawks have three games postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic as matchups against the Flames, Panthers, and Stars are all going to need to be reschedule until later in the year. With the NHL deciding not to go to the Olympics that time could be used to make up the games that the league is going to miss out on.

With the league on pause, every team is going to have a little bit more time to get healthy and get ready to go for another couple of months of tough hockey ahead. One Hawk everyone is happy to see recovering fast is Jujhar Khaira who practiced today with the team:

The next game on the schedule for the Blackhawks is on December 28th against the Columbus Blue Jackets. For a while finishing the year 500 was a goal, but with only two games on the schedule ahead of the new year the best the team can do is 13-15-4, still an improvement from 1-9-2.
