Seth Jones is returning home as the Chicago Blackhawks will take on the Dallas Stars. The Stars, under new coach Pete DeBoer, are one of the early surprises this season in the NHL. Dallas currently has the 6th best point % at .658 and lead our division with 25pts.
Newly re-signed (and underpaid apparently) star winger Jason Robertson is leading the way with an outstanding 14 goals in just 19 contests. This year Dallas has also seen Roope Hintz vault himself into all-star levels as a player. The Finnish center has 23 points in just 18 games so far and has anchored a rejuvenated Dallas line.
Seth Jones, a Texas native, is set to return to the lineup for the Hawks tonight. This will be a huge boost to a Chicago D-corps that has seen 5 forward Power Plays and a bottom pairing that is in constant fluctuation. Look for Jones to not be at 100% tonight, but to give it his all with family in the crowd tonight.
The Blackhawks have lost 4 straight and winning in Dallas will be a tall task. They should get some fresh legs on the ice tonight that will help, however acquiring 2pts will be a tough ask for Chicago. Game is at 8:30 ET. The Blackhawks will then have a quick turnaround to fly back home for Thanksgiving before playing an early match against Montreal (Kirby Dach and company) the day after.
