Thunderbirds, Olympiques, and Sting advance in CHL Playoffs
It has been a good week for Blackhawks prospects across the CHL landscape. Kevin Korchinski, Nolan Allen, and Colton Dach have back to back sweeps in order to earn a birth in the final 4 teams of the WHL playoffs. Ethan Del Mastro leads a strong Sarnia Sting team into the conference finals as well. Lastly, in the QMJHL, Samuel Savoie and the Gatineau Olympiques have made their way to the 3rd round as well.
These are big accomplishments for these 5 young Blackhawks prospects and should not be over looked. Each one of these players play important roles on their major junior squads and while we don't have our Blackhawks in playoff form, it gives us something to watch.
I am a big believer in the repetition of winning and how when you get used to something then you get used to doing the work it takes to get that thing accomplished. Each one of these future Hawks are showing traits, not only with skill but with hardwork, that lead me to believe they could rise in the professional ranks together.
As we get down the road in our rebuild it's important to build that chemistry and what better chemistry to bond over than winning. Here is a look at their stats through 2 rounds in the CHL playoffs.
