Sunday afternoon was one to remember as the Blackhawks defeated the Maple Leafs 5-3 at the United Center. It will be Patrick Kane however that will grab all of the headlines. A hat trick and an assist right after a 2 goal outing and it appears we are right in the middle of what looks like a vintage Patrick Kane heater.

With 41 points in 52 games, Kane went from a 59.49 per 82 pace to now a 64.65 point pace. That's what Patrick Kane can bring, pure elite playmaking. Whichever team that decided to pass on him (won't name names) for another player is likely sitting in the regret chair at the present moment.

Patrick Kane now has 5 goals and an assist over his last 2 at the exact moment when other GMs are scouting him. Despite having final say on where he goes, it's now clear: Kaner is back.

The trade deadline is just 12 days away (March 3rd) and the Blackhawks have 6 games remaining until the deadline. With 3 big name forwards off the board all eyes are on Timo Meier and Patrick Kane. Meier hasn't played well of late with all the noise around his name, while Kane has now had back to back statement games. If I were a contender looking for a playmaker for the playoffs... You know the name. It's Patrick "_______" Kane!
