Now that Kyle Davidson has traded most of our tradeable assets the next 24 games may be a "who's who" for Blackhawks' fans. Patrick Kane is all but out the door, Jake McCabe, Sam Lafferty, and Jack Johnson are gone, and in comes a host of unknown players for casual viewers.

At the present moment the Chicago Blackhawks are actually one of the hottest teams in the league winning 5 games in a row. They are now 4th worse in the NHL in terms of points percentage too. That is a far cry from being the worst team in the league for a long stretch of games.

Head coach Luke Richardson will now try to integrate new players like: D Nikita Zaitsev, RW Joey Anderson, D Andreas Englund, and whomever returns from the impending Patrick Kane deal. As we all know, it takes time for a team to build chemistry so the expectation now is: Nothing left to do but lose.

That is the goal here after all? Acquire picks and prospects, while depleting an already bad team, to build for the future? With 12 picks in the top 2 rounds over the next 2 drafts it certainly seems like we are now in the "all eggs in the draft basket" game. So with the pressure on, with 1 draft already completed, will Kyle Davidson and his staff hit on more top picks than not?

Time will tell, but it certainly seems like the 22, 23, 24, and 25s draft will determine if this is a quick rebuild or a long and drawn out decade plus long rebuild. You now have the picks Mr. Davidson, time to pick the right champions to wear the Blackhawks' iconic sweater.
