When does Chicago Start to Eye Rockford for Help?

Chicago is playing McDavid and Oil Inc. tonight and by all accounts are in a free fall. It is early, only 1/4 through the season, but many will start to wonder when do the Icehogs become available to coach Richardson?

Rockford is just 17 games into their season, sitting 4th in the central at 9-7-0-1 (18pts). The offense has been clicking of late for the AHL team. Something that the Blackhawks are currently lacking. Would a Bretty Seney, David Gust, Lukas Reichel, Luke Philp, or Dylan Sikura make a difference at the NHL level though?

That's 45 goals from those 5 forwards in just 17 games. That kind of production is fantastic and something that could ignite a stagnant Hawk offense. However, what would be the cost be to their development?

The Blackhawks are trending downwards while the Icehogs are playing well of late and have climbed back into contention in the AHL. It's my belief that any call ups should be when it maximizes short spurts of back to back NHL games combined with days off for Rockford. This year is more about Rockford wins than Blackhawk wins after all.

I think Jakub Galvas has earned a chance to show what he can do with the big club. If anyone deserves this it's him right now. The 23 year old Czechia LD has increased his work load and his play so far this year. I would like to see him get some time with the Hawks before the Holiday break.

This will likely be a revolving door once the trade deadline nears, one that should finally give us some answers on if any of the Icehogs are truly future Blackhawks.
