Connor Bedard's amazing rookie season for the Chicago Blackhawks earned him the Calder Trophy. Think about how impressive it is for him to win the top rookie honor while he was still just 18.

Not even Sidney Crosby won the Calder Trophy when he debuted at 18.

Bedard is not the only Blackhawks rookie to win the prestigious award

Nine other Chicago Blackhawks players have won the NHL's top rookie award. Artemi Panarin had a brief tenure with the Blackhawks, but it did include him winning the honors in 2016 after he scored 30 goals and dished out 47 assists.

He did it by playing on the same line as Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane. Kaner also won the Calder Trophy in 2008 after he scored 21 goals and registered 51 assists.

Not trading Panarin to the Columbus Blue Jackets in the summer of 2017 will always be a huge "what if" for the Blackhawks. The franchise might not have decayed so quickly had former general manager Stan Bowman built a team around Panarin and Kane instead of bringing back Brandon Saad.

Kane winning the Calder Trophy snapped a 17-year drought for the Blackhawks. Eddie Belfour won the Vezina Trophy, the Walter Jennings Trophy, and the Calder in 1991 after he posted a 43-19-7 record in goal. Belfour's goal-against-average was 2.47 with a .910 save percentage.

Steve Larmer deserves to be in the Hall of Fame and have his number hang from the United Center rafters. Winning the Calder Trophy in 1983 is one of the many reasons he deserves those honors.

Tony Esposito had a Hall of Fame career for the Blackhawks. The legendary goalie won the Calder Trophy in 1970.

Bill Hay won the honor in 1960. Ed Litzenberger was awarded the Calder Trophy in 1955. Cully Dahlstrom and Mike Karakas won the league's top rookie award in the 1930s.
