The Chicago Blackhawks last week crossed a major task of the offseason list off when the Chicago Sports Network finally struck a deal with Xfinity to start airing games on tv within Chicago.
Now, it isn't just about giving fans the ability to watch games, the Blackhawks now have to give fans a reason to watch, and it probably won't be long before we find out what the Blackhawks schedule could look like for next season.
Predicting when the Blackhawks' 2025-26 schedule will be released.
The Chicago Blackhawks and NHL Schedule in general was made public last summer on July 2, and with it came plenty of matchups to get excited about.
Chicago started the 2024-25 NHL Season on the road visiting the Utah Hockey Club in Salt Lake City, UT. It was Utah's first NHL game in NHL history. Chicago began their home schedule on Oct. 17, 2024 when the Blackhawks hosted the San Jose Sharks. The game was supposed to mark Connor Bedard's first matchup against Macklin Celebrini, the next first overall pick, but Celebrini would end up missing the game with an injury.
Chicago would end up winning their home opener 4-2 with goals from Taylor Hall, Tyler Bertuzzi, Nick Foligno and Jason Dickinson. Bedard registered two assists in the win.
A year prior, the 2023-24 NHL Schedule was made public on June 27, 2023. Now, it is worth noting the final in 2023 ended on June 13 compared to June 24 last season.
With that in mind, the Blackhawks 2025-26 schedule should be released within the last week of June. Chicago has some big matchups on the horizon with the team entering their Centennial Celebration. It will be exciting to see some big rivals and some former stars return to Chicago. Maybe the Hawks will start the season at home with a big matchup against a former rival like Detroit or another original six matchup like the Boston Bruins or New York Rangers.
