The Chicago Blackhawks look to snap their four-game losing streak as they head to Washington to face the Capitals Friday.
Chicago concluded its five-game homestand with a 1-4-1 record, falling 3-2 in the shootout to the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday. Ilya Mikheyev scored his third shorthanded goal and 18th of the season. Connor Murphy also found the back of the net for his second goal of the year, while Spencer Knight made 29 saves on 31 shots.

The Blackhawks has now lost 11 of their last 13 games and drop to 21-44-10 of the season.
This is the last meeting of the season between the two teams.
Chicago won 3-2 in regulation against Washington back at home at the United Center on Dec. 17.
Ryan Donato leads the team in goals (29) and is tied with Connor Bedard for the team lead in points (59). Teuvo Teravainen is first in assists with 41.
The Other Squad:
All eyes are on Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin as he continues to chase Wayne Gretzky's all-time goal record (894). Ovechkin scored goal No. 892 in Washington's 5-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday. With a hat trick, the veteran forward could surpass the record on home ice.
The Capitals enter this matchup having gone 1-3-1 in their last five games. They have seven games remaining this season.
3 Keys to the Game:
1. Gr8 Chase: Alex Ovechkin is just three goals shy of passing Wayne Gretzky's all-time goal record and would need a hat trick to surpass it.
2. Hold On to the Lead: In their past three games and throughout the season, the Blackhawks have struggled to maintain leads, allowing their opponent to run away with the game. Strong play in the third period could be the difference in securing a win
3. Seven Games Remaining: Despite being eliminated from playoff contention, the Blackhawks will need to lock in for their final seven games of the season to build momentum for next year. Consistent effort will be crucial down the stretch.
How to Watch: Puck drop is at 6:00 p.m. CST on CHSN. Fans can also watch nationally on NHL Network, though blackout restrictions may apply.
