The players on the Chicago Blackhawks 2025-26 Hall of Fame Ballot

The Chicago Blackhawks plan to induct players from the modern and heritage era each year into a Hall of Fame starting with the 2025-26 NHL Season.

The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Thursday its plans for the upcoming centennial celebration. With the centennial, Chicago will unveil a new Hall of Fame, with players inducted each year.

According to the Blackhawks, the Hall of Fame "will serve as the franchise's defining institution for honoring the extraordinary individuals who have shaped its century-long legacy, as chosen by the fans, alumni and media who have supported that story."

The Hall of Fame will be decided by a ballot-based voting process, involving the fans the organization's top alumni. Each year, fans will cast their vote for one Modern era and one Heritage era player with results combined from an alumni and media vote. Fans can already cast their vote with the results expected to be announced later this summer.

The Blackhawks voted into the Hall of Fame will be celebrated with an induction ceremony and dedicated physical exhibition space at the Hawks practice facility, Fifth Third Arena. Chicago plans to house a perment Hall of Fame exhibit at the practice rink located within a few blocks of the United Center.

Players on the ballot from the modern era include Tony Amonte, Brian Campbell, Corey Crawford, Eric Daze, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Patrick Sharp, Andrew Shaw, Steve Sullivan, Jocelyn Thibault and Alexei Zhamnov.

The Heritage Era Ballot includes Ed Belfour, Doug Bentley, Johnny Gottselig, Dirk Graham, Dennis Hull, Cliff Koroll, Steve Larmer, Chico Maki, Mush March, Pit Martin, Bill Mosienko, Troy Murray, Eric Nesterenko, Jeremy Roenick and Doug Wilson.

One player from each ballot will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining the Blackhawks icons who already have their number retired in the Hall. With the announcement, the Hawks announced the players with their number retired will automatically be inducted into the Hall of Fame, reinforcing jersey retirements as the highest honor a player can earn.
