What Marvel superhero is your favorite Chicago Blackhawks player?

With the offseason in full effect and training camp a few weeks away, hockey news has become increasingly sparse. We take a look below to see what 2026-2027 Blackhawks players compare to the Marvel superhero team.

Connor Bedard - Spider-Man

The 18-year-old came into the league as one of the most popular rookies in recent years. Bedard has been looked at as your friendly neighborhood hero who has come to save the Blackhawks. Similar to Spider-Man, Bedard has had a great amount of pressure and responsibility thrust upon his shoulders at such a young age. As Bedard has already learned, with great power comes great responsibility.

Patrick Kane - Captain America

As the leading point scorer in the United States, Patrick Kane has solidified himself as Captain America. While Kane might not claim the title of the Blackhawks' captain, he will definitely have a leadership role in the locker room. Along with Captain America, he will have the respect of his teammates from day one, as everyone will be looking to follow his example.

Teuvo Teravainen - Falcon

With Kane returning to the Blackhawks, both players are the only teammates remaining from the 2015 Stanley Cup championship team. From Teravainen's early years, he drew many comparisons to Kane based on his playing style (stickhandling, vision, passing, etc.). After Kane moves on to his retirement, the veteran leadership presence may be given to Teravainen (if he is still on the team).

Bowen Byram - Iron Man

Byram has played the entire 82-game season for the last two years. He will be relied on to do the same with his new team. After signing with the Blackhawks, Byram will have one of the richest contracts on the team. As Iron Man was heavily relied on by his fellow Avengers, Byram will be relied upon to be the backbone of the defense for years to come.

Alex Vlasic - War Machine

Vlasic will be Byram's right-hand man as the two look to be slotted together as the team's top defensive unit. If that is not the case, then the two remain the two best defensemen on the team. Vlasic's calm and defensive approach pairs well with Byram's run-and-gun offensive style. As Iron Man and War Machine were teammates and best friends, we could see a similar situation develop between Byram and Vlasic.

Oliver Moore - Quicksilver

Oliver Moore was the fastest skater on the Blackhawks and one of the fastest skaters in the NHL, and reached a top speed of 23 miles per hour. He was also in the top 87th percentile for 22+ miles per hour speed bursts. As speed was also Quicksilver's greatest weapon, Moore will look to develop more of his game than just relying on pure speed in 2026-2027.

Frank Nazar - Star Lord

As with Star-Lord, Nazar appears to have one of the lightest and most easy-going personalities on his team. Every team needs to have someone who can lighten the mood, and Nazar fills that role well. However, Nazar can step up and take over games, as we saw on multiple occasions last year. With Bedard out to begin the year, Nazar will take over the first-line center responsibilities along with playing on the first power-play unit.

Tyler Bertuzzi - Hulk

BERTUZZI SMASH! While Bertuzzi may not be the most graceful on the ice, he has proven to be one of the most effective players on the Blackhawks. Bertuzzi's strength in front of the net is undeniable, as he led the team in goals and power-play goals in 2025-2026. The majority of those goals came from within mere feet of the net. And while Bertuzzi never dropped the gloves last year, most people are smart enough to turn away when he gets angry.

Artyom Levshunov - Winter Soldier

The Eastern European defenseman had an up-and-down rookie season. He would make the most incredible plays that would give us hope for extreme upside, and occasionally we would wonder if he played for the other team with some of his egregious turnovers. While Levshunov is young and will be enduring some growing pains over the next few seasons, hopefully we will see more Bucky Barnes than Winter Soldier.

Nick Lardis - Hawkeye

Lardis came into the NHL last season known for his goal-scoring ability. He notched 10 goals in his first season, and some of those goals were absolute snipes. Lardis will take the next step forward and could play a major role in the team's offense. Given his potential, Lardis could play his way into the top six and onto the team's top power play unit.

Anton Frondell - Thor

The third overall pick in 2025 could become one of the Blackhawks' strongest players this season. Anton Frondell has the potential to become one of the team's most consistent and strongest players after having a great start to his Blackhawks career last season. Hopefully we see Frondell bring some thunder and lightning to the United Center with big goals and big hits.

Spencer Knight - Vision

Knight brought reliability and steadiness to the Blackhawks' goal crease last season. Some would say it is even a bit robotic. Knight's vision on the ice was the best we have seen since the Corey Crawford days, and the Blackhawks are confident that they have found the starting goaltender of the future.
